18th CENTURY DELFT DISH ~ £700
A beautiful rare 18th Century Delft daisy shaped dish with floral, foliate & tree motifs. It is probably English Delft. It comes with provenance – the label on the base states it was once part of The Anthony Collection and is numbered 99A.
Date: ? 18th century. Sadly there are no maker’s marks, they were probably lost when a patch of glaze wore off on the back.
Condition: Crazed glazing, but the top is still in pretty good condition, so great for display purposes. The back has some patches of surface glaze missing with glue added to the edges of the remaining glaze to prevent further loss. There is wear to the rim with some small chips – please study the photos.
