A rare pair of silver plated candlestick lamps. These are hard to find!
These lamps, with typical early to mid 19th Century design, have round bases with foliate detail, supporting a tapering column, again with matching stiff-leaf foliate design, which is also repeated on the sconce bobeche. Silver plate sandwiched on copper.
The lamps have been freshly re-wired (for UK use) with traditional style twisted braided flex in a subtle natural colour and new nickel finished switched bulb holders. Each lamp comes with over 1m of flex and new black plugs with 3amp fuses. Shades or bulbs are not included. The lamp bases are finished in green felt.
Date: early to mid 19th Century
Condition: very good working condition, freshly rewired with 3 core cable including earth. The lamps are in great order cosmetically with no loss of silver plate. One lamp has a small ding at the very base of the plinth and one lamp has a slightly leaning column. (Wiring suitable for UK use only.)
**Please remember that these electric lamps are antique items and therefore we recommend that you ask an NICEIC qualified electrician to check them for safety reasons prior to using. You will need an adapter plug and possibly a voltage converter if using outside the UK. Please note these do not come with a PAT test certificate.
