LATE VICTORIAN PEN TRAY
A pretty late Victorian pen tray dated 1897. Made by James Deakin & Sons this tray features nine winged cherubs – 5 in the central position and a pair on each side set within foliate swags.
The scalloped edge is stamped with a beautifully crisp hallmark for the maker, assayed at the Chester office and dated 1897.
Date: 1897
Condition: Very good condition. No damage or dents. Some tarnish left on the underside in the edge crevices and a few spots on the top surface..
