ANTIQUE BURST TOP AQUA POISON BOTTLE
A scarce Victorian burst top ‘sauce’ type poison bottle, cylindrical with vertical ribbing on one half, ‘Not to be taken’ on the shoulder and ‘Poisonous’ down the front panel. Embossed on the base are the letters ‘W.D’. The bottle probably contained disinfectant. At the base the bottle is almost circular but further up it is oval shaped.
Age: late 1800’s
Condition: The top is sharp as this is a ‘burst top / sheared lip’ type bottle. Surface marks, bubbles, patination and a burst bubble on the base.
