A beautiful silver plated dish or fruit bowl of fluted scallop shell form with reticulated detail.
The embossed form is also chased with foliate detail and the umbo of the shell forms the domed handpiece which contains a vacant cartouche for engraving.
The bowl rests upon three realistic conical shell feet.
Atkin Brothers (Harry Wright, Edward Thomas & Frank Shaw) operated under the style of Atkin Brothers in their Truro Works, Matilda Street, Sheffield between 1853 – 1925.
