A rare Victorian cobalt poison bottle in an irregular hexagonal shape with a flat back and Not To Be Taken down the front side. Two sides are hobnailed. 1 oz is embossed on the base. No stopper. Applied lip. This type of bottle is known at the Practical Poison Bottle or Morgan’s Type 2 Hexagonal. It has a registered design number on the back near the base: 334871 for the year 1899. The patent number was 4917.
