A fabulous pair of early George III solid silver sauce ladles dated 1766.
The ladles are by Thomas Dene and hallmarked for London 1766.
Each one is hallmarked: T.D, lion passant, lions head, date letter L (1766).
They have a lightly engraved monogram on the underside of the terminal: BM

Condition: Fine. No damage, dents or repairs. The bowls are good with no edge wear. Legible hallmarks. Very light use marks under magnification consistent with having been well looked after during the last 253 years.
