VICTORIAN BRASS JUG BY JOHN MARSTON x 1
An antique brass jug by the sought-after maker John Marston, has a capacity of 2 pints and it is watertight. I have three for sale at the time of listing. The price is for ONE jug.
Marston was born in 1836 and as a young man was apprenticed to Richard Perry, Son & Co who were known users of Dresser’s inspired design work. In 1871 upon the death of his employer, Marston bought the business at Jeddo Works, Wolverhampton and in 1877 extended the works into Paul Street. Around this time Marston moved from japanning and enamelling into the business of brass and copper manufacture, which he sold in 1902.
