A rare trio of superb antique hinges with chamfered edges to the front face.
The hinges are very unusual being a combination of rebate and face fixing – can be hung left or right hand.
Designed to be rebated on the door lining side, they have two large and three small countersunk fixing holes.
Chamfered on the front face (surface mounted on the face of the door) they have five symmetrical fixing holes, again countersunk.
These hinges of lovely quality will vastly improve the appearance of a door and will support a very heavy and substantial door.
Beautifully and accurately engineered with tight tolerances, they operate smoothly and very precisely.
The hinges are solid brass and are very heavy quality – the set weigh over 2kg!
Date: 19th Century.
Condition: The hinges have been freshly cleaned by hand and are ready for installation. You will need to purchase brass screws to complete hanging. They have some letters scratched to the rear faces (T, B & B1 probably to denote top and bottom) – these will not be visible when installed.
