A vintage Middle Eastern brass lidded canister. Reassuringly weighty for its size 746g.
Simply decorated with bands of twin incised lines to the body and lid.
Date: Early to mid 20th Century.
Condition. Good functional condition. Lightly cleaned by hand. The lid fits beautifully tightly. The shallow plinth has a rough join to the body. There is a small filled casting flaw near the lid finial.
