SILVER PLATED CIGARETTE CASE
An unusual Russian silver plated (on brass) cigarette case; the front cover is particularly nice and features a Siberian sylvan scene with a Eurasian brown bear mother and her three cubs playing on fallen trees. The case opens and closes nicely courtesy of an amber button.
The rear of the case bears the initials JN , an abbreviated name and the numbers (probably a date): 28 IV 50.
Internally the case has two stamp marks in Russian lettering, a slip of paper is provided by a previous owner of the symbols.
Date: 1950
Condition: Fair condition. There is some silver plate loss to the corners, edges, high raised points and areas on the back. The case hinges well and opens and shuts accurately. There are a couple of small dents.
