SALVAGED MOORING CLEAT
A genuine original cast iron deck cleat in salvaged condition. It has twin bollards and five fixing points in the base plate.
It was salvaged along with other items by Steve Welsh, part of the diving team tasked with the recovery of the wreck of the Yarmouth Navigator, built in 1943 as a Royal Army Service Corps training vessel, that took part in the D Day landings of 1944. The Navigator sank in Plymouth harbour in 2011.

Condition: In worn but still functional condition, left as salvaged with deteriorating old paint, surface rust and dirt around the fixing plate and bolt holes. Some corrosion on the base plate
